China White Yin Zhen Silver Needle
Yin Zhen Silver Needle is a top-quality white tea. The secret of Yin Zhen Silver Needle is the processing and the manual selection of the unopened leaf buds. Approximately 30,000 buds are needed to manufacture a single kilo of tea.
For Yin Zhen only exceptionally beautiful, aromatic shoots of the tea plant are picked. The leaf buds are dried in a shady, well ventilated area until the tea has only about 10% to 20% of its original moisture. Then the buds are dried in baskets and dried at 40 °C.
This tea owes its name to the silvery, needle-like fluff which surrounds the buds.
The taste is very delicate.
