Traditionally Gyokuro is chosen as a special tea to honour guests.
Gyokuro has a more intense taste and is less tart than for example Sencha.
The buds are shaded with bamboo sheets as soon as they start to break open which results in a far less bitter taste.
Only soft, delicate leaves are harvested for this variety of Japanese green tea.
Intense taste with a hint of seaweed; light yellow cup.
Recommended preparation: 10g (about 4 teaspoons) to 1 liter of 70 ° C hot water. Brewing time: 1 minute. Then pour the still-warm leaves again (3-5 infusions possible) Brewing time: 30 seconds.
