We sampled Green Spring Tip Superior during our travels in China in May 2010. This green tea grows at the Quingshang farm which is situated on a peninsula in the middle of a lake with heights up to 750m. The farm is nicely protected and ideal for organic planting.
The leaves selected for the production of Green Spring Tip Superior are generally small with lots of single tips.
Only the very young fine leaf shoots are harvested from particular tea plants in spring when the temperatures are still low and the leaves are growing slowly.
The leaves for Green Spring Tip Superior are carefully processed by hand to achieve this high quality green cup.
Recommended Preparation: 12g tea leaves (about 6 heaped teaspoons) to 1 liter, 80 ° C hot water. Brewing time: 2 minutes.
Multiple infusions possible.
