China Jasmine Silver Dragon Pearls

China Jasmine Silver Dragon Pearls

This tea - also called Phoenix Dragon Pearls, grows at the Qingshan tea farm in altitudes of around 750m, a quiet place deep in the rural area of the Chinese province of Hunan.

In a complex process, the tea leaves are mixed with fresh jasmine blossoms straight after they have been harvested by hand. After infusing the tea leaves the jasmine blossome are removed manually. This process is repeated several times. At the end of all jasmine blossoms are removed. What remains is a delicate, lovely, sweet jasmine fragrance. Now the tea leaves are hand rolled into small pearls. The cup is a light, mild tea, which has a very pleasant, stimulating Jasmine note.

As long as the leaves are still warm they can be re-infused, up to 3 to 5 infusions are possible
