Rare black tea with gentle sweetness and a touch of smokiness.
Probably one of the most unusual black teas available.
This Black Pi Lo Chun has been carefully fermented and rolled into a spiral shape by hand; a process requiring many different working steps.
The tea comes from the Longkou tea garden within the Chinese Fujian province and is the only black tea of this particular kind.
The brewed tea has deep colour with a touch of sweetness and a hint of smokiness. If preferred the tea has sufficient strength and body to take a little milk.
12g tea leaves (about 5 slightly heaped teaspoons) to 1 litre of water freshly boiling water. Brewing time: 3 minutes.
Also tastes great with a dash of milk.
