Matcha - the famous Japanese Green Powder Tea is now in stock for immediate dispatch. Matcha

This fine, green powder is used for the traditional preparation of the Japanese Tea Ceremony. 

The tea cermony is an important part of Japanese culture with its roots in Zen Buddhism.

To create your own Tea Ceremony put one level teaspoon of Matcha powder in a bowl, add freshly pre-boiled water ideally at 80c - 90c and froth using a bamboo whisk. Serve in a small cup or hand bowl.

Matcha is created by stripping all the fine stems and veins from whole leaves before drying and careful grinding with granite mill wheels.

The powder completely disolves when well whisked meaning the whole leaf is drunk.The end result is a high level of antioxidents and nutrients

Pu Erh, known as 'red tea', is produced from the same plant than black tea. It's production is rather special. Unlike the fermentation process of black tea, Pu Erh is fermented with the aid of special bacteria that result in its deep reddish brown colour. It is said that Pu Erh has a positive influence on the metabolism and therefore can support weight loss.
